07 Sep The Octopus (IG/FB/Twitter)
Scripture: For as he thinks in his heart so is he. Proverbs 23:7
The mind has always been a favorite target of the enemy. If the devil can control your mind, he can control your life. IG and other forms of social media is a form of mind-altering control. I watch my kids wake up in the morning, and the first thing they check is social media. They take it to bed with them at night and use it as a nighttime ritual.
When in a restaurant it becomes a permanent piece of the table setting.
Oh, I have to snap a pic of this food I’m about to devour-so click. Then it’s a constant race to the end of the meal to check on how many likes or views of your IG story from your follows.
Is it possible that Satan has found a smart way to infiltrate the heart and soul through this medium?
Come here Octopus!
An octopus uses its tentacles to catch and gather. It’s a smart way to control what’s in its path.
When the images and lifestyle of others alter your mind, you become obsessed with envy, with wanting what you see and completely ignoring and feeling blessed for what you have.
You have immediately forgotten about how wonderful your life is and begin to feel horrible about what you don’t have and who you are. Your mind-which is the control tower of your life, immediately starts racing with all types of judgment thoughts and self- limiting beliefs. Mind control is a familiar spirit. Know to be associated with the identity of an Octopus or squid. When IG attacks infiltrate your mind by controlling how you view your self, you are on a shortcut road to losing your authentic identity.
Focusing too much on the opinion of others can cause a mental breakdown, not a mental build up. You think you are building up your self-image by obsessively posting, obsessively seeking the approval of others, yet better than that – seeking validation from friends and strangers you have surrendered into the tentacles of an Octopus. Mind-control spirits can resemble an octopus or squid with tentacles that grasp and control the mind.
When you fantasize about someone else’s lifestyle, you drive your the “authentic-you” into sheer madness. You place your mind on lockdown as if you were in prison on cell block-9. The negative thinking, self-judgment and the compulsive need to plan your next post/story to show the world you too are worthy. That’s called insanity ❤
People only post the best shot out of maybe 20 or so takes you to get the idea? Insanity.
That’s what Twitter, FB, and IG do to you. The good news is that you can lose yourself (including your mind) from all evil influences that operate in your thoughts. You can be set free and delivered from this spirit, and I’m going to show you how:
Here are the steps:
1. Confess your sins to God and ask for forgiveness
2. Connect back to your soul’s vision for your life, not that of someone else’s or what someone told you should be.
3. Cease from seeking validation from so-called friends and strangers.
4. Ask God to fill the emptiness in you with more of Him.
5. Pray without ceasing!
Pray with me!
Forgive me for rejecting the life you have destined for me. Cleanse my mind from wanting to be someone other than whom you created me to be. Please help me to look at my social media untethered to spirits of control, confusion, being passive, evil thinking, bondage, mental torment, and pressure. Create in me a pure heart and renew a right spirit in you that I may pursue the desires of your God for my life. I confess that I am a sinner in need of a savior. That you died on the cross for my soul, but on the third day you got up so I could have eternal life through Christ Jesus.
Do you know whom God says you are?
I know who I Am.
